Where are my apps in the new iTunes?
iTunes seem to have update itself and now my Apps have disappeared. Where are my apps in the new iTunes (v 12.7.0.166)?
MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), 16 GB Ram; 480 GB SSD

Thank you all for clarifying this.
To Apple's software developers - this is literally THE DUMBEST and most ridiculous decision you guys have made. I assume Jonny Ives had nothing to do with this UI change - I'm an industrial designer myself and any self-respecting designer would never do something stupid like that. The ability to manage apps in Itunes, on my desktop, with my mouse on a large monitor wasn't just a great feature, it was essential, expected, and natural. Remember guys - when you release new updates you're supposed to make your product BETTER, NOT WORSE. You've just made it decidedly worse. And to add insult to injury, you've totally skipped any notices, explanations or anything to just clue in millions of us who updated Itunes that app management feature is gone. Talk about missing Steve Jobs' thinking when you need it.

The Hosts are doing exactly the job they were hired to do, and doing it very well, I might add. Apple doesn't do business in the same way that Dell does. And, based on recent performance, I'd say that's a wise move on Apple's part.
This forum is one of the largest of its kind in the world. I'm sure that a small forum such as Dell's might be easier to use a suggestion site. It's simply not practical for one this size.
Apple provides a page on which people can provide feedback:
They also have a twitter account if you're so inclined.

Nobody on here can reinstate anything, we are just fellow users. You can use iTunes 12.6.3 if you want to manage apps and books via your computer's iTunes. If you want to leave feedback to Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/
As stated in the message immediately before yours, NOBODY on here can reinstate anything, we are just fellow users. You can use iTunes 12.6.3 if you want to manage apps and books via your computer's iTunes. If you want to leave feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
In case you do not know... Apple does not monitor this forum. As stated numerous times before here, NOBODY on this forum communicates to Apple for you. We are all just fellow users with a common complaint. I encourage you to share your feelings with Apple like many of us have done at: http://www.apple.com/feedback

It really helps if you send your feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
I won't speak for Lawrence but, I don't intend to submit such feedback because I agree with Apple's decision to start removing functions from iTunes. It had become virtually unusable for its original purpose: managing and listening to music.
How is removing something a bloat? Actually, iOS apps were removed from iTunes for exactly that reason. They don't really belong there. Here is a support article that explains how to get your purchased apps to your device:

I just posted my frustration with this problem in Apple's feedback and suggest that everyone let apple know that we want this feature back: Product Feedback - Apple
Why take away such a useful tool without at least polling the community? I have multiple devices and was managing the apps on a 27" iMac... MUCH easier to move apps around and organize in folders than on the device itself. I've just stopped doing that on the devices. One song to sing for the geniuses who came up with the idea to remove this feature and not let the users know in advance, or offer a workaround... "...if I only had a brain..."

Giorgio, spot on! Did you solve it? I have been at it for 1/2 day and cannot seem to find the apps in iTunes 12.7.4.76 on Mac Yosemite 10.10.5. Thanks!
That's because they are not housed in iTunes anymore: Changes in the new iTunes - Apple Support
And really, it would have taken you no more time to find the answer than it did to type your question. It's on the first page. We are users just like you. We volunteer our time here. I understand that having a sick pet can be not only time-consuming, but extremely stressful and draining. But, if you post to a forum looking for an answer, you have to be willing to make at least a small effort to find the answer, rather than echoing what was basically a rant.
Best of luck,

iTunes 11 dropped support for all 32-bit apps, so your library was likely full of things that won't need updating again. Your device can update itself automatically much more efficiently than updating through iTunes used to be. You only update what's installed on the device, and it only downloads the changes from the previous version. Each device gets an optimised version of the app for its screen size, etc. We're 9 months into this new way of doing things. Nearly everyone has moved on, but if you really want to stay old school see Managing apps with iTunes 12.7 or later.

Spot on... but just understand that this is not the place to give Apple your feedback. I recommend you send your feedback to: Product Feedback - Apple
i TOTALLY agree with georgio !!
now what kind of stupid thing is this to do.. 😟
and now, figure that.. i cannot even install my apps any more.. since the update on iPhone yesterday,
can't find them anywhere
DO IT BACK !
This is incredibly short-sighted thinking on Apple's part. Taking away a feature people used is just plain foolish. You can't know how parents watch their children's app usage. You can't know how a learning disabled child/adult uses a desktop vs a portable. You can't possibly imagine what some people find simpler than being forced to learn how to reuse software every time you guys can update. Slow the heck down. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. The consequences of this in the short run is incredible frustration. Most people will likely adjust and life will go on. But I am one of those people that's just tired of you guys 'fixing' things that aren't broken. I have a life outside my phone. I don't want to relearn to use what's supposed to be an intuitive product every couple of months. Can we just bring back apps to iTunes and be done with it? You've already got most of the coding...
Not only does the new iTunes 12.7 no longer show the apps that are on my iPhone, but it thinks that there is nothing there at all.
iTunes now shows that I have an extra 25GB free space on my iPhone, but I actually have 25GB of APPS on my iPhone that I WANT TO MANAGE IN ITUNES.
THIS IS THE STUPIDEST CHANGE SINCE THE LAST STUPIDEST CHANGE EVER. THANKS FOR CRAP, APPLE.
Yes, I sent iTunes feedback to Apple directly. Thanks.
This is INFURIATING!! I have this sick feeling in my stomach that Apple is turning into Microsoft (although Microsoft is at least improving in the right direction). It used to be everything was rock solid and makes sense and upgrades were solid (unlike different flavors of Windows). Now I do an upgrade to MacOS, IOS, etc. and within days there are more upgrades and patches. Seems like every time I turn around, there is yet another upgrade (what's wrong with just taking more time and getting it right the first time). I realize security threats are hard to predict, but the other stuff should be done cleaner. When I upgraded to "High Sierra", my HP printer can no longer scan to the share on my Mac(s) from the printer (thankfully I still have an older "Sierra" that I haven't upgraded yet and can still use the share on this machine). I used iTunes to rearrange icons, because it is a pain to "drag" across multiple screens on the device. PLEASE put the Apps feature back in iTunes, or come up with a way to rearrange the Apps somehow through a web browser or some new "App" for MacOS.
AS I can no longer have a look at apps on iTunes I won't be purchasing any apps. Although in the past I have purchased apps on my phone it is only after researching them on iTunes. A very backward step Apple
