My new car no longer recognizes my device as plugged in since I upgraded yesterday morning. So frustrating not to be able to use a feature I chose the car for. Will this be fixed or is there a way I can remove the update?

After ignoring this issue for some time I did some research the other night and came across this article: iOS 11/11.1/11.2/11.3 CarPlay Not Working - How to Fix.
One of the tips is, "Tip 4. Check your Restrictions - Open Settings app > Tap General > Restrictions > Enter your passcode > Find CarPlay and turn it off.
When I checked my settings Carplay was already turned off. I went ahead and disabled restrictions altogether. The next time I got in the car, CarPlay fired right up.

Funny how Apple in the above post could censor my "doubleu -T- F" abbreviation, but were unwilling to comment on their inferior software!!!!
I asked about this at an Apple store at the mall. They are clueless, and i imagine, way over paid.
Same problem, 2017 Honda CR-V with iPhone X. I think mine started with iOS 11.3 rather than 11.2.5 but basically it will connect for maybe 3 minutes and then disconnects. I am incredibly frustrated.
