CarPlay not working after 11.2.6 update

I have a 2017 Kia and been having this issue with carplay since I updated my Iphone8 to the latest software (11.2.6). Before the update, it worked fine, but since, I cannot connect the phone. The phone won't even charge in that USB port (charges in the other USB's in the car. I have tried 3 other Iphone8's, they all have the same problem!!! My son's Iphone7 (with 11.2.6) works perfectly. I have tried multiple lightning cables!!!! I have changed the restrictions on my phone and I have had the phone "forget this car" and restarted my phone. Now my phone won't even recognize my car.

Same here, I tried 3 different iPhones, different cables, resetting my 2018 VW Golf unit, resetting my iPhone and removing restrictions, I really think its with Apple and not with the car. I hope apple reads these 🙂

I always used to use the Australian voice for Siri but had switched to try the English voice. But 'she' couldn't core with the Kiwi twang so I went to switch Siri to the Australian voice. But to do so, I had to download and install 'the Australian voice' again, which I thought was of at the time. Because carplay uses Siri, I surmise that perhaps the OS upgrade doesn't fully flush the previous version of the Siri voice. I don't know, I'm just guessing but at least my carplay now works.

Probably just a coincidence but I was able to get mine working by removing the Kia from the settings > General > CarPlay > Kia Motors. Then, with the phone plugged in and not recognized I pushed the UVO button on the radio and then had it run a vehicle diagnostics. When it finished, I selected something like “save data” or “send report” (sorry don’t remember exactly but it was the only other option besides exit). It gave an error that said the phone wasn’t connect but then the phone dinged and connected. It’s worked since (a few hours). Now, I’ve played with it before and have gotten it to work only for it to quit again later but....worth a try.

Changed the voice on Siri. Still No CarPlay On my 2018 Colorado. Turned off the Bluetooth connection to my phone (on the car) and went back to one of my previous cables, now it works with my SE running 11.2.6, but not with my wife’s 5s running 10.3.3. So at least one phone works......for now! I think turning off the Bluetooth connection if you are using the USB cable may be worth a shot.

I did a complete restore of my phone! Still the same, the Car does not get the Phone on my iPhoneSE. As before the iPhone6 works.

@Apple: Any Idea to fix this? What info do I need to provide?

I guess it might have to do with some car models.

I just tested the latest iOS update on CarPlay in a European Audi A3 Sportback and no problem whatsoever.

Same Problem here on an iPhoneSE with 11.2.6. Whereas the iPhone6 with 11.2.6 works fine!

Another fine job by the Apple engineers.

I have iPHONE 6s updated to iOS 11.2.6 when i connect my phone to my car's Apple carplay after 10 to 25 sec. it's getting disconnected. I have tried almost everything.

Did you try to reach carplay via the Menu Option of the Entertainment system?

Same here! It was working fine until this stupid update. I am getting so sick of this.

Well, we can each rule out user error now, since we are each having the same exact issue. Silver lining??
