Issue resolved. Apple suggested rebooting my network router. Power off iPhone/ipad. No need to do anything to HomePod. Now all my playlists work.
I haven’t had iTunes Match since picking up Apple Music. Some lists play others don’t. Why?

See the Manage Music & Podcasts section of Change settings for HomePod - Apple Support. Try signing out of your Apple ID there, then sign back in again.
If that doesn't work make sure that iCloud Music Library is enabled on the device that you use to configure the HomePod, then set up the HomePod again from scratch: Reset HomePod - Apple Support.

I’m in your boat too—I’m beginning to suspect that the issue may be related to both the HomePod -and- last iOS updates.
I’d appreciate hearing anything Apple gets back to you with.
