Running out of HD space on Macbook Pro

Hello Everyone,

I have a Macbook Pro with 8gb RAM and a 256GB SSD. I am constantly running out of disk space even though I am showing over 25GB of free space after reboot.

Has anyone experienced similar issues?

I deleted some files to create about 10GB free disk space. It worked for like a day but it was still decreasing. Now it went down again to 40mb. After a restart there is only 3GB space available. And after about 30 minutes it goes down to 40mb again. Does anyone have a clue how to solve this problem? Thank you.

Losing Disk Space Rapidly for No Reason? My 2014 MacBook Air is rapidly losing gigs of hard disk space for no reason. Even when I close all programs and create new space by deleting old files, I lose space within a few minutes and then get the warning of having run out of disk space. Restarting did not work. I have also paused Google Drive and stopped the syncing there. Any clues on what the problem may be and what I can do?

"other" in storage is huge and growing too fast Hello! My Macbook Pro 2012 showed me that there is no free space on the disc, I checked the storage - there was "Other" more than 63 Gb. I deleted plenty of files, but all that space immediately went to "Other" that in the end turned to become 131 Gb. I searched in Libraries but could not find anything that huge.

I have a ton of tabs open on chrome. i'll close most of the tabs and see if it makes a difference. Thank you!

Is there a way to delete the swap file?

Uninstall Avast and CleanMyMac3 using the uninstall procedure provided by the developer.
