Problems with voice during CarPlay calls since iOS 11.3

11.4 still hasn't solved the issue for me. I'm running public release 11.4 (15F79) on iPhone 7 128GB and a 2016 VW Jetta MK6 USA.

I will try to reflash the OS on my phone later tonight and try again. I also have a different iPhone 7 that I just upgraded to 11.4 which I'll try shortly and reply.

Anyone else still having this issue after upgrading to 11.4?

Still the same problem since iOS 11.3 During every calls placed or received through CarPlay, the other person can’t hear me properly. If the phone is connected through Bluetooth (without CarPlay) everything is fine.

Had the car checked, everything is fine. It is definitely an Apple problem, an iOS problem. Before iOS 11.3 I never had a single problem with CarPlay.

Same problem here with Seat Ateca. With an older version of iOS no Problem! Hope Apple will fix that with new update...

Correct this issue exists after updating to 11.3 and newer. Across many manufactures, including aftermarket. Still no answers as to cause, but seems to worse with non-apple plighting connections.

I am going at it with them on Twitter @AppleSupport I suggest everyone do the same thing, they seem to think there is no issue and its with my phone only!

I'm pretty sure the 7s with no problems is/was running a pre-11.3 iOS version.

My VW dealer says Apple is the problem. They have had 3 people this week complain of the same thing.

Not all KENWOOD radios have firmware upgrades available and I still believe it to be an Apple issue not a radio issue, too many people have the same issue that don't own Kenwood radios

Probably you’re right and is it the combination... Until the iOS update it worked perfectly well; no problems at all.

The problem is that Apple CarPlay is not using Bluetooth properly for phone calls. For some reason, Handsfree is being disabled once CarPlay starts.
