Running latest iTunes (12.7.4) on a Windows 10 PC.
Trying to sync iPhone X (on iOS 11.3).
For some reason it just started hanging during sync stage 4 *reading photos from pictures".
Library has ~ 16,000 pictures and videos.
Was working fine previously.
Anyone else have this issue, or a solution?

There's another thread about this. Having read that I've moved the iPod Photo Cache to another folder and re-synced photos. They are on my phone but do not show up as albums - to view them I have to go into the collections section and view by when the photo was taken! Looks like it is iTunes 12.7.4 causing the problem - I only downloaded that tonight and the synch yesterday had no problems.
I deleted the iPod photo cache folder and after about 10 minutes the photos starting to sync. I’m running Windows 10.
Try to move all your photos to C drive's My Photo folder, might fix the promble. cant believe Apple is still paying the iTunes Team.
I even tried syncing to a new folder with only one album (sub folder) and it failed. I get the album on my iPhone with 0 pictures in it.
Same here, I might end up swtich to Andriod phones. This is more than ridiculous. I thought Apple products should be more Photographer friendly, turned out, they hates me.
It shouldn't be this hard. and there are so many people suffering from this. No quick fixes? Mine was to go get a Pixel2 phone
How do you run iTunes as admin?
Do you know if they have resolved this yet. I have just installed on a new PC and cant go back and run an older iTunes?
From my experience the issue still persists in iTunes 12.7.4.
iTunes 12.7.3 works fine.

Had no joy there, or Covent Garden, what annoys me most is no-one seems to comprehend why I want photos in folders, why can't I conform to the new normal, its so frustrating

I forgot the minus before 2918 😢, with Apple were going back in time
They are making so much money they don't give a toss, it will bite them in the *** eventually as Blackberry found to their cost
