Photos in iMessage disappeared after ios13 update

Did you lose any data signing out?

Did you ever get this resolved?

Well, the update didn’t work for me. I guess this is never getting fixed.

Data can be-redownloaded. But like you, I am hesitant on trying this right now. I’m scared my cloud will randomly screw up on me as well. But it doesn’t appear the update fixed this issue.

This isn’t helpful for me. I lost photos in the photo app not my messages.

@sistaheart - You do see this discussion thread is titled “Photos in iMessage Disappeared After IOS 13 Update” right? Why would you think it would help you with the Photos app?

Yes. We know. The issue is, is that they don’t show up there.

Any update on the issue yet?

My problem started when I did start new/sign into iCloud on a brand new phone, so I’m not sure this would work for me. Maybe for others.

I did and I’m getting another call in the next week. I sent in iPhone analytics data and they’re having engineers look into it.

I don’t know. I’ll see what happens but I’m not very optimistic.

Dealing with health issues and this on top of it has not been fun.

I hope something does get done. My phone won’t even download all of the messages in iCloud. It’s downloaded 30GB of 87GB. So on top of not indexing it won’t download that data, so that’s great.

Another user on here has been in contact with Apple for over a month. I’m not sure why they can’t find/fix anything.

I must also add it shows I still have 87GB of iMessage data in the cloud - the problem is my phone will not sync/download it all and isn’t indexing any older message attachments.
