How to disable “one more minute” on Screen Time?

Hi Guys, i used to use the Screen Time to lock my apps, using 1 minute as time limit for all apps. After IOS 13, now there is a option that you can access any app for “one more minute”. I think that it can be usefull for somepeople but i really didnt like that there is no option to disable it. Is there any way to disable? Thanks

Got this issue too, one of my kids is having the 'One more minute' option on her iPhone7 iOS13 which she can click over and over again for multiple apps at any time she likes....

Apple please fix this, we need a way to disable this 'One more minute' option, now screen time is useless........

I think this is the answer. Thank you frode242!!!!!

7am to 7pm...

+

12hr limit in Safari

=

NO MORE ONE MINUTE QUESTION.... after 7pm.

Somehow, now that I've done the above... I've switched back to 7a-7p + 1min limit in Safari and the question is still gone!

I'll try again tomorrow at 7am to test.

I want to be able to use Safari... but not my kids. I wish i could turn off ALL access to it except if someone has the screentime password. This I haven't been able to find yet.

I would like to echo all the other comments and ask why Apple at least does not give the option to remove this feature.

First, remove the 1 minute request. Second, do so with leaving the ability to use phone/facetime for emergency. This does not seem that hard.

I would like to understand Apple's logic with this, but there has been no response here.

This is a user-to-user forum. No one here can answer why Apple has made this decision. Apple isn't reading here.

Did you submit this feedback to Apple? The more people who do, the more likely they are to make the change. The feedback link is in the post immediately above yours.

Nor will there be. As noted, this is a user-to-user forum. You can try using the Contact Support link at the top right of every page. However, it is unlikely that the people in support will know why Apple has made this decision.

Maybe Apple should stop calling this Apple Support Communities? As when you see ‘Apple Support’ you assume it’s..... Apple Support.

instead it’s a forum full of mostly disgruntled customers that Apple want to do their job for them helping each other. Whilst most of the time it’s dreadful usability items like this that Apple just ignore / pay no attention to for years.

This particular one has done it for me. Android is my entire family’s future now, I’ve had enough.

My son(under threat of losing phone completely) confessed he has been sneaking Snapchat (which we do not allow him to have) by going to one more minute. He gets on App Store(which is normally blocked because I have adding and deleting apps blocked in restrictions section), gets app out of family share (permission to add is not needed because his sister has it) he then downloads it and screen time is not on it because it’s been recently downloaded. I have screen time set for 1min for Snapchat as it is because I knew he was sneaking and trying to get it. I have Snapchat.com blocked and safari in general for that matter. I can’t stop him with the one minute feature. In that one minute everything is open and apparently no time limit exists for an app added AFTER the time limit is met. The only way I knew he was using the app is he uses this same “feature” to go back and delete the app when he’s done. I check his phone every night and there is no sign of Snapchat anywhere, yet my screen time usage on my phone shows that he has been on it. I’ve had to threaten to take away phone entirely if I see that he has been using Snapchat at all. I think they need to hire a teenager to help them create screen time. These kids are much craftier than even the young adults working for Apple! I don’t think they can keep asking for a minute for same app. Even when I set a limit for Facebook for myself, I get the one minute option one time and then it requires password. I think they are simply deleting and reinstalling.

Whoever designed the “one more minute” feature obviously doesn’t have kids and whoever managed the product obviously didn’t user test this option with anyone who has kids...the primary user of ScreenTime!

How could anyone think this is a good idea, and not even allow an option to disable it or expire after the first attempt.

ScreenTime is already poorly designed, this is just the nail in the coffin as it is literally the antithesis of monitoring and management of kids ScreenTime.

How to disable “one more minute” on Screen Time?
