IOS 13 Mail Contact Blocking not working Correctly

The IOS 13 contact mail Blocking is not working! After selecting the emails contact and "Block this Contact" and with the Mail Threading settings Blocked Sender Options set to "Move to Trash" I still see mail from the blocked contacts. The mail has a grayed hand showing, with the contact listed in the Blocked list. The blocked mail still shows up in my in box. Selecting the contact again, it displays This message is from a blocked contact. So why is the blocked email in my inbox and not in the the trash?

This problem with blocking email that doesn’t work no matter what you try has got to be blamed on Apple. It’s their OS. So we have to band together and figure out a way to force Apple to make it work.

the bottom line is $$$$. Hit them where it hurts. They have been given ample time to correct the issue and seemingly have done nothing.

the best way to MAKE them listen is to start buying competitive brands. Sales will tell them quickly why they need to correct the problem. A single voice or two is not going to do it. The PRESSURE has to be real!

if enough of us do this I guarantee that you will see a “magical” correction of this problem!

One of the problems with this approach, and they know this, is how difficult it is for a diverse group of people to actually agree to do it. But if they do, it usually gets things done.

I have noticed the same thing, I block email addresses and then continue to appear in my inbox even though their address is in the BLOCK list. ??? IPad 13.3.1

My setting were already exactly as you described and I am still getting all of them in my inbox. On both, my iPad 4 and My iPhone 7 the OS is up to date.

Does not work!

This was my issue, had no idea that there was a setting for mail that left blocked senders in the inbox, go figure. Just changed it to move to trash, fixed.

I just went to mail preferences and then junkmail,,,,the box checked was wrong, needed to check send blocked to trash.....hope it works!

I don’t even get the gray hand. Blocked Emails just keep coming to the inbox, but if I open it, at the top is a link to “Preferences.”

Why do emails from blocked senders using the blocked address keep coming through with a message it is from a blocked sender

I thought I had it fixed but they're coming thru intermittienly! Go to settings/preferences and look at junk mail, the wrong thing was checked for me!

When you're in mail, click on "mail" in top left and select preferences, then junk mail

My mail-bar is up there all the time, but yes, I changed the preference in junk mail, it keeps a lot out of my inbox, but definitely not all of them!

How do you do that on an iPhone as that option is not available - I have checked my mail settings & ticked the box for blocked contacts to go to the bin but this does not work all the time
