I am on iOS 13.3 and not long ago I just updated.My microphone was working perfectly and suddenly stopped working. The microphone does not work with all the other apps including Voice memos. I am also experiencing problems during calls and the speaker seems to be grey. The only time the microphone works is when I have my Air pods Pro on then it does pick up sound sometimes. The calls work perfectly with my Air pods Pro on. Please help!!!!

After struggling with this issue for nearly six months I found the only solution is to get the audio ic chip repaired. How it relates to an iOS update is unclear.
As Apple don’t provide an affordable option you’ll have to find a third party to undertake the repair.
solution: buy a Samsung.
Apple update 14 hasn’t fixed my microphone.
Instead it has stopped my camera too.
i didn’t know I had so many hardware problems until Apple updated its software

As for the mic, goto use bluetooth temporarily then. lets hope apple will do something about if they want to..
I also upgraded to iOS 14 for the same reason, the result? Microphone still doesn't work and NOW the camera too - what a joke!
