Good point, Sebohinz; it seems that there are too many people reporting this issue now for it to be random.
I mean, the iPhone 7 has the "audio IC" issue (just google "loop disease"), but my question is whether the number of people having the issue now is greater than the general IC issues that have cropped up with iPhone 7s in recent years.
One bizarre thing it the browser video playback issue; this wouldn't be related to the audio IC, so it's possible that that is a bug and the lack of ability to make/receive calls, use Siri, or voice notes (all tell-tale signs of audio IC) are separate.
But, as you called out, it seems like too much of a coincidence that people are having this together.
In any case, it's either a hardware or software failure on Apple's part, so they should be liable. There was a class-action lawsuit on the audio IC. Maybe we need to explore whether re-opening that lawsuit or taking some collective action is feasible.
If anybody gets a response from Apple, please share, as I haven't seen any response from them.
