Macbook Pro STOPPED CHARGING after upgrading to Catalina 10.15.5

it has started working now. It does not charge until some point and then charges back again. May be it is the new battery health feature they have introduced with the latest update.

SMC reset doesn't work for me, but I have a completely dead battery.

I have a MacBook Pro 16 and I have the same problem. After the update the battery had no charge. And the next day the Mac didn't turn on. I'm still without a computer.

Nothing helpful for now, but I just had a call with someone from Apple just now who took some diagnostics from my machine, so hopefully we might see some progress on this. :)

I have the same problem with MacBook pro 15inch 2018 base model (mr932). No one has any suggestion?

It is not the batter problem for sure. My BRAND NEW iMac froze after the update. It was working fine for 3 days without the update

Wow nice. How many days did it take to fix your MacBook pro? And you just shipped it to the repair center? Was the repair free?

Did you do anything special after you deselected the health management? I still cant seem to solve the problem

Hmmmm I tried both....No success - next option is to drive over it with my car -JK.... Will continue to attempt alternate fixes - possibly re-install

Any news on this? I upgraded to Catalina 10.15.5 yesterday and My MacBook Pro (13", 2017) is also stuck at 1% and shutting down when unplugged.

Forgot to mention the diagnostic code: ADP000 - no issues.

I was planning to re-install Catalina 10.15.5 but it seems some folks tried it and no luck. I may have to send it to Apple for repair then.
