Battery drain after iOS 14 update.

I had installed the new ios 14 and my battery drained from 90% to 10% without me even touching the phone. This has never happened before.

Please Apple fix asap.

There is a software issue and this has affected more than 10,000 of iPhones. It’s not something we are doing wrong. Apple needs to fix this ASAP! Or refund us all 1,000$ We pay good money for their products because they’re reliable. This is absolutely insane 😡

Try a factory reset, and find out how long you have your iPhone. 6s is 6 years old now so it might be your battery because sometimes the won’t last when you exhaust them. Try to find an Apple official resellers or official repair shop to examine your troubles. In comments before I explain how to reinstall and the use of some kind of logic. Instead of buying a new one. Good luck.

I am curious if the person you spoke with at apple checked the model number of your phone. I don’t even think model number is the correct term, but I cannot remember what the number they had me access on mine is called. Anyway, mine was one of the phones that was made missing the proper antenna connection stuff, so it could not work with the new updates. My battery drain was caused by my phone constantly background searching for service anytime it was on apparently. Apple replaced my battery and put in the needed parts and did a factory reset and my phone was amazing for a few weeks. It is not so amazing now, but at least I can unplug it for parts of the day. :) Mine is an iPhone 7, but I think the employee at the Apple store mentioned to me that this service was only available to me for a couple more months and then once I hit a certain age of my phone they would not have done anything for me, even though they admittedly made me a faulty phone that wasn’t compatible with their updates. So I know that the updates affected certain models of certain phones, and that replacing the battery won’t help unless the problem is fixed. Mine got so bad that starting on Christmas Day I could no longer even receive phone service, so maybe that’s why apple was forced to repair mine- the issues were indisputable. I called Verizon, and they connected me with apple and the boy on the phone knew all about the issue. Good luck! It is so frustrating!

I worked with a support agent yesterday to do a factory reset of my 6s plus then restore it with an icloud backup and so far it seems to be working. I'm finally able to leave it on my desk without constantly charging it. It started at 100% battery power at 6 am and now at 330 pm it's 59%. Before the reset the battery would drain to 1% within a couple of hours.

I had a dip in my battery health on iOS 13 so it indicated that my battery was getting a poor health. With constant use of a smart battery case I neglected the phones battery. Afther 5 years I needed to replace the battery, wich I did at an Apple official reseller en repairshop. Now my phone last for 3 days, standby, easily.

I did a factory reset on 14.x. I mostly do this when there is a new iOS. My phone is a bit older so I needed to replace the battery. It last for more then 3 day idle day’s. I am very, very carefully witch app’s I install.

In your case I should try a factory reset and restore from the cloud. Sometimes app’s get sloppy on a new OS.

I did a factory reset as well, and a battery replacement at a Official Apple Mac store. But now my iPhone is in trouble again. Suddenly my battery is gone. When I hook it on juice it is back to 39%? What is going on?

I did an update recently to 14.4 so there might be some trouble in the code. And a lot of people do have the same troubles when you look at views and comments.

No one should pay for a battery replacement, if the battery is within the normal operating tolerances, especially by apple's own spec.

What I have been hearing is that the new widgets introduced with ios14 is the root cause of the battery drain issue.

I am just tired of apple playing games with the consumers.

There are many affordable alternatives to iphone out there.

But if you have to have apple then good luck to you.

My battery continues to rapid drain . It’s crazy fast! Every day, Multiple times all day long . I’ll watch it now go from fully charged to 1%..1%?! It’s utterly dangerous...what if I’m in a situation without an ability to charge? In the middle of a pandemic? Seriously?! My phone & battery are fine. It’s this unfixed iOS sucking the life out of my phone In seconds (before my eyes). Thousands of us have repeatedly posted about this. Where is the fix on this?? Pleeeease help, Apple!!

My iphone had a health of 89% as well. I changed battery because it didn’t last long. Now I am able to let it be idle for days. Recently I updated to 14.4 and there was a remarkable activity, the weather widget consumed 90% of all the power. The phone did strange again. So I removed it and now I am testing again. Best thing to do is a factory reset if your phone acts strange, and from there on. “the best ios ever”?
