iPhone X keeps freezing with new iOS 14 update. Will freeze in any app or even sitting idle and will go to black apple screen and restart. Factory reset did not fix it.

I called Apple Support and they told me to do a force restart. Shut down your phone. Wait a few minutes. The press volume up followed by volume down then power key and wait for Apple logo to appear. This resolved my issue and no app freezes since then.

And yes, I have tried everything suggested here, with no improvement at all.
14.2 is causing this problem for me. I just downloaded 14.3 and this did not resolve the stalls. i thought it was caused by the new air pod pros.

Totally agree, I contacted then already for another problem with an iPhone 8+ that was going bezerk with dictation. Finally an update solved the problem, but they were reactive
And Apple support will have told you to upgrade to the latest iOS version, restore your phone, and delete the Mail app. That’s what they told me too, and it does not fix the problem.

There is an iOS app available in Singapore (Asia), it's called "POSB". It's a banking app. Whenever I launch it in Iphone 8+ iOS 14, it would freeze.

apps doing strange things
Ever since new update 14.5.1 my phone either freezes or turns black ,restarts etc..
Is there a solution to this ?
