My AirPod mic it’s not working properly after IOS 14 update on phone calls, WhatsApp calls and audio recordings.
i’d done resets of AirPod, forgot and sync again, everything I found on the web, therefore do not solve the situation.
I tried the AirPod on my MacBook and it’s working very good without any issues.
I have IOS 14.0.1 already and all apps updated.
Somebody know any solution?
Have the same issue with 2 pairs of AirPods 2. It seems like 3A283 firmware just killed the microphones.
MEANWHILE, if I knock the mic hardly with my finger IT STARTS working for a whole. You can test it in native dictaphone app.
There os no Apple Store in Ukraine to go to and all official services jus rejected my request for warranty service.
I believe Apple should firmware fix as far it is just stolen couple of hundreds dollars from our pockets.
Totally frustrating.
Seems like the new update to IOS 14 and 14.2 just completely killed the airpods. I hope this fix this soon because I smell a lawsuit coming if they don't and expect you to buy newer ones.
So Apple support, are you going to keep ignoring the problem or are you going to fix this issue? There are many of us with this issue and no solution in sight. WTF?!?!?!?
Settings-->Bluetooth-->Microphone-->Always Right worked I'm my case.

Went to Bluetooth. “Forgot device” and then re connected. Fixed it for now.

This is a temporary fix that is very annoying though.

yeah my AirPods have been bugging out hard to where I literally have to unpair them from my phone and then repair it
The solution I was given was to buy 2 replacement Airpods. Yes, I am serious. No, I didn't do it.
I was out of warranty so they wanted me to pay 70 for each. I'll wait for an update otherwise going back to the wired ones. The whole experience really left me with a bad taste.
