Anyone else having issues with volume of notifications, keyboard sounds and even the lock sound being barely audible? The only thing I haven't done is reset the phone. I set it up from an iCloud backup and I didn't have this issue on my XS. If I restart the phone, it goes to normal volume for a moment then back to being quiet again. Sometimes I am not getting notification sounds at all.
Happps, and everyone else please try this fix. I just purchased the iPhone 12 Mini and was having this exact issue that Happps is having and going into Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > and DISABLING "Phone Noise Cancellation" This fixed my issue with the sound. Hopefully this works for everyone else. This is definitely a bug with noise cancellation.
I am just confused as to everyone is not affected by this. Others I know who have iphone 12 have told me they do not have the keyboard click sound inconsistency and notification volume issues. If this is due to iOS, wouldn’t everyone with that version have the issue?

Update: CONFIRMED. Yes same result with her doing the ringtone/text tone volume sound check.
Somehow I feel better with that confirmation although it does not change anything.
I suppose I can only hope that Apple has a fix for this issue with next major iOS update. I do not have high hopes of getting a patch update to correct them seeing as how they will not even acknowledge it.
Agreed. Please keep us posted! In the meantime I will endure weird keyboard click sound fluctuations for now and try to find a text tone selection that is more annoying but at least somewhat loud enough to actually be heard during surrounding/environmental noise.

didnt work for me… im selling my iphone 12… I checked multiple phones at an iphone booth, iphone 12 lineup is bugged, didnt notice this issue on iphone 11 and SE…
its a major issue if you cant hear incoming messages, since the speakers on the iphone 12 are actually pretty loud… Im using my phone for business, must be alerted anytime a message comes in… so disappointing…
I’m using the iPhone 12 Pro, but I’m not getting the fluctuating volumes like you are...it’s just always near silent for me, including the lock sound
I’ll take mine to the Apple store this weekend and see if they have any ideas. Will keep you posted.
New phone didn’t do anything to fix the issue, still have fluctuating volume on keyboard and lock sounds. Plus the notifications not always making noises like it should. Has to be a big.

Same issue with iPhone 12 Max Pro. Volume of keypad constantly fluctuating. Also been having issues where touch is non-responsive. First time iPhone owner, not loving it.

two months and not a mention by any news pages. Are we nuts? If it's a IOS issues it should be showing up on other models, but no mention of it here except for iPhone 12's.
