iPhone 7 lagging when unlocking

I hope more people can get to test 14.6 using an iPhone 7 to confirm if it’s really addressed. Mine seems fixed too with 14.6

Same problem on iPhone 7, 32 Gb, iOS 14.5. I notice it happens when i unlocked the iPhone very quickly. If I activate Raise to Wake and wait 1 second it happens rarely, but it is not comfortable.

Same here, when I unlock my phone I wait to "LOCK icon" next to clock in top of the screen disappears, and then i use the phone normally. But if I use phone before that icon disappears the phone lagging. Somethimes when unlocking the phone backlight is so lagging when it's dimming and everything is so lagging too, so badly maybe 5-10 seconds. This lagg starts after updating to ios 14 and its still present. Before ios 14 never nad a problem. Its iPhone 7 128gb with 95gb free, battery is original and new installed year ago 93% health and with battery healt and screen on time is fine, just that lagging is annoying.

We need to let them know about this bug and they will fix it!

When I turn reduce motion, its lagging even when phone is unlocked and when I'm using it, when I type and in half of message just freeze for 2 sec and when unfreeze phone type everything I typed when phone was frozen. When I turn reduce motion off phone is usable and just freezes and lag when unlock. And in use it's really rare to freeze or lag if reduce motion is off.

If you do not go into the details of that setting and how to install it, then I made a twice of conclusions and tests:

1. When unlocking, the SpringBoard system process is loaded up to 70%-80%, which is why the iPhone starts to trottling, or rather its CPU.

2. Perhaps the problem arises due to the fact that the iPhone goes into a “deep sleep” when locked and from this problem

3. The problem was really solved by the LastLook setup installation, but today once a day I had a bug with the unlock animation and everything became normal

have you tried to save a backup copy from the pc (itunes) and then restore it and then recover files all from itunes to see if it works like this? I'm super bad with that iphone it is so bad, every time it gets slow, the 3d touch sometimes reacts slowly friend, seriously this iphone is very bad

No , quite frankly I noticed the performance has slightly increased. Turn on sound recognition with at least one sound from the 13 suggested ones, and you’re good to go.

After struggling since ios 14 came, this is the only solution that fixed it 100%. But still Apple’s responsable for this issue and must solve it definitely.

The rest finger to open methode workes for me the best. I havent noticed any lagging since turning it on.

I turned off some of the location services and the number of cases in which the lag happens looks to be reduced. Not completely gone but still a little better. iOS 14.4

I found out it is a hardware problem . You wanna mount an original screen or if after market you need to hope that a good job has been done

I can confirm that the issue is still here, I do think the lag goes away faster than before but I’m not to sure. I can also confirm that it happens way more often when you have low power mode on.
