iPhone 7 lagging when unlocking

I don’t have an iPhone 7. But you do, right? If you’re able to send a screen recording, then I can type something up for you.

to screen record, open settings, then press control center and add screen recording. To open control center, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Unless you have an without a home button, if you have one without a home button, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen.

With the recent IOS 14.5 it's happening not so frequently but still happened 2-3 times unlocking the phone...

Tried to disable Today's View in the Touch ID & Passcode Menu Settings and looks like it's Ok for now - phone has not lagged anymore. Will revert back after 1-2 days of usage ;-)

Yeap silent mode brings the lag again 🤦🏻‍♂️ WTF is wrong.

I know for sure that my friend has no issue with his 128gb iPhone 7. He updated to iOS 14.5 as well…we’ve been testing it for some time. Is somebody from Apple reading or knowing this?

I don’t know. But also apple has other issues to fix. Like Macs that have difficulty turning on and updating. There are iPhones that lag. iPads that need more features like Mac features and the App Library.

and apple reads this because I’ve had emails that some responses of mine are apple recommended or edited my moderator. So they do read them, they just don’t care.

bro i update to ios 14.5 with my iphone 7 128 GB and it happens to me every time I unlock, it goes much worse every time I turn on the iphone from the button where the touch is every time I unlock this lag happens to me, it is really exhausted to be with this .

bro, I just recorded the lag and it has happened to me every time I try to unlock it, the error happens when you unlock the iphone with the touch id and pressing the button where it is located, I have removed the fingerprint for a moment and try to unlock it with pin code and this does not occur so the error is the TOUCH ID

Huh. So my theory is right, but I need someone more tech savvy to take it further and find the issue.and im glad something worked. This took 21 pages to find out that we are on to something. Try removing all the fingerprints and then adding them again. They recommend re adding the fingerprint every couple months.

We all know this bro ! Once you disable touch id or don’t unlock with it, the lag will never happen.

Some guys suggested this workaround in early comments but for me this is not a solution. I bought a phone with touchid technology to use it not to disable it because lazy software engineers can’t figure it.

Maybe they are trying. While I’m still disappointed in them they could be trying. They just don’t care to tell us. They have made good devices and software. Apple, just listen for once.

would someone contact apple support? Maybe you’ll get lucky with someone who does care.

This proves that apple reads it, and doesn’t care. im done standing up for them, this is INSANE. They expect us to buy more products, and then don’t fix their glitches that make the devices unusable for a short period. Apple, I believe this is the fourth time I’ve said it just like this “LISTEN FOR ONCE!”.

Yea, I know. But all they like is making money. They couldn’t care less about us. And they knew I meant to share my address. They just didn’t care. This is so aggravating.

I found something interesting. I turned on the sound recognition feature (to prevent the iphone from going into deep sleep mode), it worked prefectly, not even a single lag, even in the silent mode, hope it helps.

After observing my iphone 7 a thousand times i can say that deep sleep is the culprit. Whenever i wake and unlock my iphone suddendly by touch id, it lags severly.

But if i pick it up and wait a sec for raise to wake, it unlocks completely fine without any lags…

And Apple engineers are so dumb to fix this small issue related to deep sleep… Really disappointed…

No , quite frankly I noticed the performance has slightly increased. Turn on sound recognition with at least one sound from the 13 suggested ones, and you’re good to go.

After struggling since ios 14 came, this is the only solution that fixed it 100%. But still Apple’s responsable for this issue and must solve it definitely.

Yeah, cause as you know, that’s an important 10 seconds of your year. 😂 I have to press the power button (uh, I can’t even) every time I turn on my iPad.
