Where is the CALCULATOR widget on Big Sur???

Hey guys,

Can you please let me know how to set the CALCULATOR on the widget??

That was really important and useful widget but I can't find it.

I hope please I can't just find it. If not, I can't understand developers for this OS 😁

I hope it will come back one day, but it was already getting worse and worse: In the last OS versions it had no more memory when the sidebar was closed and reopened again. This was also very annoying.

Somebody here left the tipp to use spotlight instead and I'm bound to say that I still miss the GUI but this works very fine for me. Because the spotlight (just type in the calculation) works above every window even in full screen mode, like the sidebar was before. The calculator app doesn't.

Hope this helps.

I thought the same thing, until I started using the new one. I just dragged it to the dock, where it stays front and center. No different really, except it's now either a click away or already on my desktop. Plus... when I add multiple lines (from several web page tabs as example) it won't erase my total as it slides away on me. So I actually find it MORE handy now.

Honestly... without Calculator what is the point of Widgets? I don't have stocks & shares, I can (& do read) the news... & I can (& do) look out the window for the weather! 3rd party Widgets have been rendered useless (istat menus being a prime example - & no sign of a workaround according to bjango).

PCalc is a good solution, (although not Retina ready to my eyes)... but the new 11.1 Calculator is a big downgrade as far as I'm concerned... extremely disappointing from Apple, (& yes they do read these forums)...

The Hosts read the forums but only to make sure everyone adheres to the terms of service. Engineers and developers are not, however, reading here for suggestions or feedback. If you want your feedback to go where it will do some actual good, use the proper method:
