Hello again,
Yes, the Canon (PIXMA) MG5350 is mentioned in the article About AirPrint - Apple Support as a printer supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. This means that the printer is compatible with macOS (Big Sur).
Regarding the firmware, please have a look at https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mg_series/pixma_mg5350.html?type=firmware . There is an AirPrint Firmware Updater (Mac) for MG5300 series Ver.1.2b (19 September 2017). Unless already installed, please note the updating details.
Also see the Manual for how to use AirPrint for Mac.
It may not be a bad idea to reset the printing system (steps in the following article) before you add the printer.

Information about how to add the printer can be found here:

It should not be too difficult to make this work. Do you have an existing Wi-Fi network with a router? If so, make sure that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network. Do not hesitate to post back in case of additional questions.
Good luck!
Good to hear, thanks for the information. If you don't mind posting back here once the updated driver set is made available, that would be appreciated as well.
Hi, can I get a copy of the driver software?
Any success to report?
Did you try to install as I suggested via Terminal setting SYSTEM_VERSION_COMPAT=1?
Thank you, terminal installed worked Canon LBP6230
I have followed your advice to the Tee, but I am unable to install the Canon software. It is not compatible with Big Sur
It works both on my old mbp with intel chip and Mac mini with M1 chip. Thanks a lot!
Driver no longer works. I have asked them if they have plans to fix it. If I have no satisfactory reply by 1 January I will have to go and by a non Canon printer.
Thanks Jan, its an MG5350
I had an iMac Catalina version installed 1/2020 and my Canon PixmaMg 5320 printer worked fine. I upgraded to Big Sur version and now same printer will not work
Were you able to get the scan function working too?
I was wondering if that would be a solution G. I'll give it a try. Thanks!
I'm not on Big Sur but the most recent Catalina. It quit working after the last update to Catalina.
Canon Pixma MG 7550. I'm sure you can find the Catalina driver for your model in the drop down list
