Same problem here also. I can see that there is a driver for Big Sur but then it does not download. anyone know how to fix this problem. Canon?
Moechiu, try removing the printer in System Preferences and adding it up again. I think that this step will clear the print queue and any underlying problems.

Solved, I bought a new pc; no issues with the driver. MacBook Pro going on Swappa, along with all my other Apple gear. Lost me as a customer forever.

This does not resolve the issue with installing the drivers, The Canon printer shows up but is in-useable with out a driver.
This so worked. I wish it had been at the top of the thread. It has changed my life.
