Hello again,

Yes, the Canon (PIXMA) MG5350 is mentioned in the article About AirPrint - Apple Support as a printer supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. This means that the printer is compatible with macOS (Big Sur).

Regarding the firmware, please have a look at https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mg_series/pixma_mg5350.html?type=firmware . There is an AirPrint Firmware Updater (Mac) for MG5300 series Ver.1.2b (19 September 2017). Unless already installed, please note the updating details.

Also see the Manual for how to use AirPrint for Mac.

It may not be a bad idea to reset the printing system (steps in the following article) before you add the printer.

Information about how to add the printer can be found here:

It should not be too difficult to make this work. Do you have an existing Wi-Fi network with a router? If so, make sure that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network. Do not hesitate to post back in case of additional questions.

Good luck!

Hello,

I am having the same issue. I am unable to add our Canon I-Adv 6065 printer to my computer. I have followed these instructions deleting all Canon Printer Drivers, emptying the trash, and then resetting the mac printer system. I have downloaded the new driver for Big Sur from Canon but am unable to install it.

Since I was unable to install the driver from the files Canon gave me so I manually copied the ppd.gz file into the PPD folder but my computer is unable to discover the printer on our network even though it can connect and set up other printers on the same network and I can access the Printer's webpage through it's IP address. Other people in the office are able to connect and print to it just fine it's a problem with my computer.

yo! I work in a school, and I had this issue with a mac today as well, was pulling my hair out and stopped here to see I was not alone... but thankfully I remembered I installed the drivers about moth ago too, so I was able to go back and get the older version of the file that works...

hopefully this will get a few of you printing :D
