Downloaded lossless songs stop at 15 seconds every time

Update it to the newest iOS version 14.7.1. That will fix it.

All I can say is that we can't experience Lossless and/or Dolby Atmos the way it was intended. I understand that is a BIG, MAJOR issue that has to be corrected. Sign out, remove downloads, restart phone, all this are things that we didn't have to be doing in the first place if a service and/or product is tested enough. Again, hoping for a quick fix. Until then I'll be listening to the songs using the AAC format. Specially one by Shirley & Co.: Shame, shame, shame.

Same issue here. I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max with the AirPod Max. Never noticed any issue with offline/downloaded music until Lossless. I downloaded several Lossless albums onto my iPhone and played them fine while on LTE/5G/WiFi. But I recently flew and put the iPhone in Airplane mode. Now, Lossless albums cut off on every song at the 15 second marker. Lossy albums play fine. Only seems to be an issue when there's no network connectivity or Airplane Mode.

Deleting the app doesn’t help, as a matter of fact I deleted the app, then installed it from the App Store, went over to settings to make sure lossless is turned off before I download songs again, the old songs in the music library plus the new songs added to the library are still lossless and stops playing at 15seconds without internet connection. I prefer turning off my data connection while working so I can just listen to songs and work but with this I have to keep my data connection on, when I’m airborne I can’t play songs as well, we need this resolved ASAP. same issue here, but everyone are talking about downloaded music. And what about streaming? There is same issue!

tried to delete app - restart - download, and nothing helped.

also tried to sign out from my Apple ID, restart and sign in again - same thing.

waiting for fix!

I have this issue with normal music, I don’t have lossless activated. It’s with any random downloaded music, some will work and some won’t. It seems like it’s worse when on airplane mode or no cellular, despite being fully downloaded music. Deleting and reinstalling the music app does not fix it. I get random error codes too sometimes.

It's not fixed with 14.7.

Today I removed the complete Music library from the iPhone.

Deleted the Music.app.

Reloaded the Music.app

Downloaded some songs.

Walked outside for an hour, no Wifi, no Mobile data.

After around an hour. Song stopped and can't be played.

Not anymore after 15 seconds like before.

Now after 2 seconds ...

And this even on a matched song, not an Apple Music song.

So I can't even play the songs I bought.

I removed the downloads and redownloaded a playlist. All the songs downloaded in lossless except one, so I had to delete the song and redownload - another 3 minutes of my life that I won't get back.... It worked great for just over an hour than one song skipped and stopped. After this, all songs played for 15 seconds again. The playlist didn't end or anything like that. Completely baffled by this one.

I don’t know what the problem is but when i’m not on wi-fi the songs will only play in its entirety if the cellular data is on. if it isn’t an internet connection it won’t play correctly.

I even had to re log my Apple ID 😩😩😩just now self 😩😩😩

I have deleted my whole music catalog and re downloaded it 3x now and it still doesn’t work. If I am not connected to internet it won’t play any lossless song past 15 seconds.

Ran a few testes yesterday and today after applying 14.7 and it seems fine. I said it seems...

UPDATE:

I downgraded all my lossless song and re download it on standard quality but I still have that issue, no matter if it’s a Dolby Atmos or standard quality song.

To be completely honest this pretty annoying I hope that apple patch it very soon. Maybe we are not the only ones out there.
