Apple music stops playing music after 15 seconds.

After a new software update, apple music began to lag. Songs from the library that I downloaded to downloads to listen to offline do not play completely. The problem is that when I listen to downloaded music without the Internet, it plays no more than 15 seconds. Then it stops. For this month I have not yet used the application normally ... I tried to delete all downloads and install again but it doesn’t work.

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Hey damelya21,

It sounds like you're having issues with music stopping at 15 seconds. We can understand wanting to get that resolved. We want to help.

Does this happen on both Wi-FI and cellular data?

Does the issue occur with both downloaded and streaming content?

Does it happen both with and without headphones?

Which model of device and iOS version is this happening with?

Thanks!

Seeing that this got reported about 500 times before, it's probably on Apple's end, dont you think? Can you let them know?

I had to call 3 times with apple support, and still got this problem...

==> My conclusion: It's a bug.

It's really annoying me and I'm concidering subscribing to spotify, as are a lot of other Applemusic subscribers.

I didn't try on cellular, its only on downloaded content, it happens with headphones (beats solo pro) and I'm on 14.6

Noticed to have the same problem on iPhone 8 with IOS 14.6 and Apple Music. Yesterday used it with CarPlay. Songs of new Playlist „3D-Audio“ play for 15s and stop followed by a crash restarting CarPlay. Procedure reproducible. Now we have Dolby Atmos and crashing app. Great!

After calendar problems with standard notifications not synchronized from Mac and 5 months of weekly support with no solution now Apple Music fails.

Really Apple software quality more and more becomes crap in all ranks.

And no, I don‘t wanna reset the iPhone anytime Apple fails! Spends my lifetime!

Frustrating!

Yes, that might be. Meanwhile I've to restart my iPhone too many times to get it work. Sometimes the playlist asks me if I would like to keep a song or to delete it when I try to play it. The only solution to get rid off this bug is to restart the iPhone and remove the iCloud sync and switch it on again. This bug is reported by many users for a while but I don't notice any progress by providing a bugfix. Would be nice to improve that issue soon.

I love Apple music but it's annoying that nothing seems to be done to get rid off these bugs.

Had an issue with the standard notification sync of Mac and iPhone calendar. Since Jan I was communicating with Apple support weekly. In the end Cuppertino engineers told me the feature is not included anymore. When I sync the calendar per USB cable it still works reliable! So, I think it's a bug with the iCloud but until today I'm alone with this bug. It works fine for my friends, they told me that this feature is still working and not removed. I'm not very happy how Apple "solved" this problem with me.

Hope, they improve Apple Music bugs soon.

Hey guys, i might have a solution.

whenever you are free, test what songs dont seem to play all the way. If you know its your whole library, then you dont need to test.

try listening to each song past 15 seconds and then test it offline. See if that works. Im guessing each song needs to be “played into the system” for it to work… not sure tho, anyone else have imput?

I‘m having the same problem. I play a song, and it goes for a good 15 seconds – and those are a good 15 seconds – but then it stops, and I can’t get it to start again.

I‘ve noticed as well, after doing some investigation, this only happens to songs which have Dolby Atmos (at least for me). Songs without Dolby Atmos or only Lossless are fine.

Haven‘t investigated if this is only an issue on my iPad Air 4.

Happens on Wi-Fi (unable to check with cellular data on iPad Air 4).

Occurs with both downloaded and streaming content.

Happens both with and without headphones.

Happening with my iPad Air 4 with IOS 14.6.

ONLY HAPPENS when playing Dolby Atmos certified music.
