After a new software update, apple music began to lag. Songs from the library that I downloaded to downloads to listen to offline do not play completely. The problem is that when I listen to downloaded music without the Internet, it plays no more than 15 seconds. Then it stops. For this month I have not yet used the application normally ... I tried to delete all downloads and install again but it doesn’t work.

I had a similar issue (iPhone 12 pro, iOS 14.6) and this is how i solved it:
open settings
click on your picture/name on the top to open your apple ID
click on Media and Purchases.
click on sign out (Heads up: this will sign you out from media services such as apple music, news, etc. and also will delete all the already downloaded music)
sign back in with your apple ID
restart your phone
Head to apple music, and re-download the songs you wanted.
My lossless songs would only play for 15 seconds in offline mode, after this it was fixed.

There is a very simple fix to this. Go to settings, music, audio quality, and turn off lossless audio. If you have downloaded music you may need to
re-download it. This worked for me.
I had the same problem on 14.6.0, once I updated to iOS 14.7.1 the issue got resolved on its own.
I didn’t have to turn off/on any of the settings, even kept Dolby Atmos enabled.
Seeing that this got reported about 500 times before, it's probably on Apple's end, dont you think? Can you let them know?

It's really annoying me and I'm concidering subscribing to spotify, as are a lot of other Applemusic subscribers.
I didn't try on cellular, its only on downloaded content, it happens with headphones (beats solo pro) and I'm on 14.6
I‘m having the same problem. I play a song, and it goes for a good 15 seconds – and those are a good 15 seconds – but then it stops, and I can’t get it to start again.
I‘ve noticed as well, after doing some investigation, this only happens to songs which have Dolby Atmos (at least for me). Songs without Dolby Atmos or only Lossless are fine.
Haven‘t investigated if this is only an issue on my iPad Air 4.
Happens on Wi-Fi (unable to check with cellular data on iPad Air 4).
Occurs with both downloaded and streaming content.
Happens both with and without headphones.
Happening with my iPad Air 4 with IOS 14.6.
ONLY HAPPENS when playing Dolby Atmos certified music.
This happened to me too, what i found that helped was I deleted the whole apple music app and just reinstalled it. The lossless audio didn't appear when I was playing my songs and the songs played fully. Also connect to wifi or not it doesn't stop.

I tried everything without success. Nothing worse than listening to music over CarPlay with Apple maps or TomTom to get on your destination and getting or only 15 secs of each track or even worse multiple total crashes of the system.
Right now I switched to the 'old' settings. So no Hires, no Dolby Atmos... Only the 'standard' AAC best quality. No Offline probs at all. CarPlay is back to normal.
No crashes nor interruptions.
Now waiting for a solution.....
The real problem is actually not in our devices because force resetting doesn’t work at all, so the software is just bugged. It showed me a product key error message.
What worked for me is to use on-device VPN. After that I had to re-download all songs and I have no issues now.
I have same issue. I didn’t read all replies but maybe this helps:
I turned off cellular and wi-fi at the subway and all my downloaded lossless songs started to play.
Before that it was just 15 secs like all of you. Definitely it’s a bug and Apple should fix this.
I’ve found if you start playing the song whilst with cellular it works after that when listening offline…. however this stops after I think I’ve worked out about 24 hours and then if you play a song again then it will only play 15 seconds again. I’m assuming it’s some sort of authorisation of the lossless file with Apple music servers.
For me I uninstalled the music app the got it back and turned off download over dobly atmos and turned off dolby atmos it worked for me and for those wondering it doesn’t delete your music, when you uninstall it it will ask u if u want to cancel the subscription so just tap I want to keep the subscription

Disabling Lossless seems to have fixed it for the time being.
Also, have reported this to Apple as a bug.

I had the same problem with music stopping at 15 seconds but for me it stopped over wifi and cellular. So I went to settings and turned off lossless audio and everything starting working fine.
I fixed it by turning lossless off for downloads only (on the tube etc)
