Wi-Fi problem after iOS 14.7.1 update

Okay. What do you say to the phone intermittently connect to internet? It never loses connection to WiFi just internet. Nothing else in the house loses internet connection. As a suggestion from a previous comment, I turned Bluetooth off and the phone connected to internet. I will keep Bluetooth off and see if that actually makes a difference. I am at a loss. Not saying it’s the IOS update but it was working fine before??? So, if it is because my access point ( UniFi) and or my router (pfSense) no longer implement the standards used by IOS , then that would be new settings changed in IOS. Therefore, caused by IOS. Whatever it is, I hope it gets resolved quickly. I am going crazy 🤪

Yeah if you are looking but if you are not paying attention you don’t think about it. I am not one who lives on my phone so I can’t pinpoint when I started having the issues. Didn’t notice until after a storm and had to boot AP back up. Router never went down.

This is really making me crazy. My wife has an iPhone 8 on IOS 14.7.1. The same IOS as mine but my phone is an 11. Even as I type this, I just noticed my phone switched to WiFi. Her phone is fine. Only difference is she is on private address in network settings on iPhone. I’ll try that. Maybe something is just wrong with my phone. So, I doubt it is the IOS update but I don’t think it is my network either. If I figure it out, I’ll post the solution that worked for me.

Just a follow up to my post: still working like a champ for me. From the posts, seems a tho there are multiple forms of the issue. The commonality is unfortunately the iOS. I dont know much about the iphone internal hardware or coding, but I will bet there is something common to all the hardware affected. And I am afraid that means waiting on Apple.

iPhones do not have the ability to write to SIM cards.

I had the same issue, Apple replaced half my hardware only to have the issue again a month later. Now there is a new update but in order to update I need to be connected to wifi… which I cannot do…. Anyway around this?

Yes, I have the same problem with my iPhone 8 Plus after upgrading to iOS 14.7. And, there is nothing wrong with my Internet or Internet provider because my iPad and laptops are working fine — up 400 Mps.

The problem is definitely with the latest Apple iOS upgrade.

Please provide a fix asap, or at least provide a way to shift back to previous version

Were it the update, millions would have this issue and they do not.

It’s solves the problem but annoying going through that 3-4 times daily … obviously needs an update ! Issue problem.

The phone (an 11 pro) refuses to update, repeatedly, despite various troubleshooting steps followed, asserting that the phone is not connected to the internet. It is.

I’m having the same issue. I updated my phone and now it will not connect to Wifi. Please provide a fix.

Because it’s a problem on their end . They need an update …
