Apple Watch 6 battery draining in Watch OS 7.6.2

I've seen growing number of people mentioning about this so I think this issue has to do something with the update. In my case (just like many other peoples) battery lasts now only one day instead of two as it did before this update.

I charged my watch to 80% this morning, and in the last 5 hours it's depleted down to 23%. It was on my wrist while I have been working, so I'm not doing anything unusual, nor strenuous. 80% should last me through to before bed. I am running OS7.6

Good afternoon I’m having the same issue, I use to used my Apple Watch all day long at work and to workout and just charge it at night when go to sleep and having 30% of battery. Now after the 7.6.1 software update the battery drain so fast that by 3 pm when I get out from work is on 20% just using it to see the texts messages and notifications. Just unpairing the watch and erasing it don’t get rid of this issue.

Same thing here … since upgrading to watchOS 7.6.1 my Apple Watch 4 “dies” completely in about 6-7 hours. Previously, I’ve never had an issue and consistently last all day (~18 hours) on 50-60% battery usage. HELP!!!

Same!!! I am beyond frustrated! I used to be able to go two full days before needing to charge my watch se. Ever since I updated to 7.6.1 I have to charge at least twice a day. I’ve reset, unpaired, repaired, same result…

I have the same problem. Aw S4 SS A2008 model. Watch OS 7.6.1 with an iPhone x IOS 14.7.

I tried to erase, defalt setting, restart, etc. I have to charge it twice a day.

I update my iPhone today to IOS 14.7.1. I try it with this software.

I am having this same issue after updating to 7.6.1. I would charge before going to bed as I wear my watch to track sleep. Before the update when I woke up it would be in the high 80%, now it is down to high 50% when I wake up. I hope they fix this soon as I see a lot of other people are also having this issue.

Have this issue aswell on my 44mm applewatch 6 GPS , it worked great and never had any battery issues and was surprised how long the battery lasted even when doing daily phonecalls on it. Well after this update the battery is draining just by looking at it

, did the unpairing and reinstalling but so far it doesn't look like it's helping.

Very dissapointed in apple as per usual , worse and worse updates.

I'm facing the same issue. The 7.6.1 update has ruined my perfectly fine working watch in terms of battery drain. My watch used to last for 2 days on a single charge. Now, it doesn't even last for an entire day. I've tried all the possible options mentioned here but to no avail. Hopefully, Apple rectifies this issue!

I have the same issue, my series 4 would last all day, I would charge in the morning while I showered and it would last me through the day and the night (I use it to track my sleep). This morning it was at 80%, I went and swam laps, it died, and now it's charging REALLY slow and loses 1% of charge every ~5 min. I know it's not the newest model but still, the watch is only 2 years old. It also gets super hot while on the charger. HELP!

No I did not power it off at night :)! It really lasted two days with brightness at one bar and always on display. I know it is quite unbelievable, hence, that's why i'm all the more outraged at this new update.

Having the same issue. Never had a problem before the update. Now after being charged all night and 1 workout, my watch is down to 10%. This was a total use of 7 hours. I haven’t charge it at work. Basically useless.

I posted a few days ago that I was having this same battery drain issue after the last update. Like a few others posted after several days it is now using battery power the same as before the update without me having to do anything. Since I don’t remember what day I did the update so not sure if it took exactly 4 days to fix itself. Hopefully that happens for everyone else.

Confused with the wait fix, for me this didn’t start immediately after updating so how will it resolve itself?

erasing is always a pain I did that so many times with my original before I got a series 3. I thought these things were resolved with my series 6
