Replying to myself, with additional info. You might need to also reset your network settings after disabling the Protect Mail Activity and Hide My IP.
Settings/General/Transfer or reset iPhone/reset/reset network settings.
if you look at the Protect Mail activity description it says it’s using a multiple proxies. Then add Hide My IP and now you seemingly have put a bunch of hops and relays in between yourself and your email and then hid your IP so if it could get to you after all that, you are still hiding from it.
The features sound good and cool and it would be great if they worked (and maybe there is some Apple Techno Magic they do to make it all work some how), but I think if you want speed, you can’t turn on all the blocks/hides/reroutes just yet and expect it to work like it did before.
Even after the newest IOS download/upgrade there remains the same problem. I truly wish Apple would address this problem, and soon!
I have the same ISSUE! Apple, please rectify this problem.
My iPad Pro has had these setting established for quite some time….and problems are still prevalent.
I am new to all this and a little baffled as to why there is still no response from Apple. Does anyone know why this is ?
I tried everything and mail is still slow. At this point, I'm hoping that iOS16 will fix some of these problems. Until then, I continue to use the gmail app.
After a few days slow Apple mail has returned!
I am also going to pursue a new operator. Bitterly disappointed after many years patronage.
Tried it on my iPhone 13 and iPad Air3 and did not work. Tried all the other fixes as well !
Sorry this didn't work for you. I should have mentioned that this worked for me on an iPhone 11.
Made mine faster for a bit, got excited, then slows down again after 15-20 emails. This issue is firmly a Apple problem I’m sure they can easily replicate and fault find..
Unfortunately, this did not work for me (iPhone 12 Pro Max, OS 15.5).
Doesn’t work for me…iPhone 12 Pro Max, OS 15.5
At this point, I'm hoping that the new iOS16 will solve this problem. Apple is definitely NOT listening to any of the complaints.
Disabling a feature is not a fix. It’s a workaround.
Problems persist on all devices since iOS 15 . In my opinion Apple should prioritise fixing bugs over introducing more useless features.
Can you tell us how you fixed yours? With kjterallybthiusandsnifboeolel complaining about this, why wouldn’t Apple send out a broad announcement in how to do it rather than have each of us call ?
