Why does this screen time and app limits functionality not work? The ones I set are over-written, even tho I have block app turned on, half of the time they disappear and I have to restart the list. What is going on?

The only fix that worked for me was:
After these operations the time limit remained active. Of course, you might need Content & Privacy settings as well but this is the only thing that kept the App Limits in place.

Agreed!!!! Are the social medias paying Apple? What is going on here? Why would not this glitch be fixed. The time limit does not work!!!!!!
Same here Apple. Why would I continue to provide iPhones to my kids - if you can't fix this?
This issue is ashow stopper. I do not understand why it is not fixed. The only way to fix it is to migrate the whole family to android, sadly.
Resetting the passcode does not help with this issue! Tried it and nope!
Our kids will grow up by the time Apple cares enough to fix this issue!
Fix this basic problem first before you launch new ios features. Innovative company my foot!

I’ve tried everything. Start from scratch. Update iOS. Reset settings over and over. This is pathetic. I’m fed up. Android is looking like a better option these days.

No updates. I logged another ticked and they deleted it. I left a negative comment about apple to this question an hour ago and they deleted it. Apple rule!
It is still happening. It takes quite a while to set up with different limits for different apps, and then just disappears. It can happen after 1 day if your a lucky duck. It sure does suck. I have current iOS - 17.3.1. So they have done zip to fix this it seems. After more than year and presumably many complaints. This is one of the top features of screen time, used to work just fine prior to late 2022. So it losing it makes screen time only about 1/3 as useful. So so frustrating.
Has anybody tried to reproduce the problem with iOS 16.4?
