Why does this screen time and app limits functionality not work? The ones I set are over-written, even tho I have block app turned on, half of the time they disappear and I have to restart the list. What is going on?

The only fix that worked for me was:
After these operations the time limit remained active. Of course, you might need Content & Privacy settings as well but this is the only thing that kept the App Limits in place.

Hello everybody! Looks like the problem has been fixed (after months of issues). The App Limits and all the others settings are no longer deleted automatically. I have 2 devices with App Limits and both of them retained their Screen Time configuration. Does it work for you too? P.S. I did not do anything special... one day... it decided to work (like it was supposed to).
When will this be fixed? This is such a pain. I have reset the configuration, logout of iTunes and App Store and bunch of other things and nothing is sticking. Screen time settings including passcode, block settings for family members disappear every few hours
You would think that the whole parental control software could have been re-written from scratch with the time taken to fix this bug. It’s obvious they do not want to limit the damaging effects off too much screen time on our kids! Apple obviously want a generation of kids addicted to their phones! I think it’s time to look at other phones that do parental control better!

We have the same Issue! I have tried everything suggested everywhere like setting them up directly in the kids devices and again they disappeared. We also noticed a connection with the 1 minute.
Same here. Have tried setting up directly on ipad, completely signing out and back in on the ipad, upgrading account to MFA. App limit disappearing after few minutes
My downtime is also being removed!!!
I’ve upgraded ALL the family devices to 16.3. Same bug, still there, still frustrating. Worst that Apple hasn’t acknowledged or fixed. Here’s hoping for a fix in 16.4?
Same issue. It’s driving my wife and I crazy. Kids have unlimited app time everyday. Screen time control was the main reason we switched them from Kindles to iPads. Now screen time is useless. 🤷♀️
Exactly same problem and very annoying that screen time disappears randomly. iOS 16.2 on iPhone.
Apple needs to bring a fix to this problem soon.
I am having the same issue. I deleted screen time from all my kids devices and set them up again. They disappear every single day!! This is quite frustrating.

Screen time is the reason we have apple devices this bug of removing limits is making the extra expense of keeping everyone in current devices seem worthless.

This keeps happening to my Family App Limits I set for my two son's phones. I thought it was just me but glad to see others with the same problem. Hoping Apple fixes this soon.
