slow motion choppy/dropping frame rate at 240fps

Dear Apple,

this is an issue many users have experience since Iphone 12. When recording at 240fps with an iphone14 Pro (and the latest firmware), most the times the video is recorded at a much lower frame rate (200fps, 177fps). The only fix is restarting the phone, but the fix only lasts a few more recording, then it's choppy again.

I have never had this issue with IP11 Pro.

I have this problem too. From the date of purchase my new 14 Pro Max more than a year has passed, I'm waiting for solve this issue! I bought an iPhone precisely because of the smooth Slo Mo! How's that??? When You solve this PROBLEM???

Upgraded from a XSMax to a 14Pro Max and used the slomo a few mins ago only to realized there was THIS issue. I googled “choppy slow motion iPhone 14 Pro Max” and arrrived here. So add me to the list of people waiting for an answer (or solution).

Very disappointed about this issue! Have the best iPhone ever with the worst slowmo performance. Why? What’s the reasonable reason? Lots of storage (1tb) tried disabling all the possible reasons for slowmo dropping to 170fps…only a restart will temporarily fix the problem. Considering a jumping back to “the other side” after 15 years…

I am also having this issue with my 12 mini... you can't put 240fps in the specs if your device can't do it, stop lying apple and fix this, you have so much money! FFS

It's 2024, and there's still hasn't been a fix yet.

And I'm on iPhone 15 Pro Max on the latest iOS.
