My vehicle only has a USB adapter to connect to my stereo to enable Apple CarPlay. Now that I'm using a USB to USB-C cable, Apple CarPlay no longer works with the iPhone 15. Any ideas on how to address this? Should I try different cables or is this more of a fundamental issue with the new iOS or iPhone 15?

All - just following up on resolution here. It was the fact that the cable I was using wasn’t for data, only charging. I bought a Belkin USB-A to USB-C cable from Amazon and now my CarPlay is working. It just took a while for it to come in because everything was back ordered.

If you open Settings App on your iPhone, then Cellular, then Data Options, choose 5G Auto. If you go out of 5G range, the phone will automatically switch to LTE as its designed to do.
This was happening to me too until I went into settings, phone/bluetooth, projection manager and enable projection. Now it works. I never had to do this before but oh well it works.
Thanks vm lobsterghost1. This solved my problem. YouTube music was not working when connected with cable although all other apps were working. Fixed now.

At least you can get it to connect. I can’t even get it to connect even with appropriate cabling. I’m considering getting an android phone.
Ordered the new cable and renamed my new i15 phone. This tech stuff drives me nuts as I am from the older generation. Appreciate the suggestions.

Belkin BOOST Charge Pro Flex USB-A to USB-C Cable purchased through Apple did not work in my 2012 Nissan Rogue with iPhone 15 Pro. However, it did work in my 2011 Chevy Silverado.
