Beats Studio pro 2023 static noice in left ear (with anc)

Hello, about a month after buying the headphones, static noise started in the left earphone when the noise cancelling was turned on. When I turn off the noise - the sound disappears.

Please tell me what can be done? This static noise very annoying to me…

Hello Avt0bus,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with static noise in your left Beats Studio Pro. Try resetting them as described here to see if that resolves the issue: Reset your Beats on-ear or over-ear headphones - Apple Support

"Reset Beats Studio Pro, Studio, or Studio Wireless

  1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
  2. Release the power button.
  3. All of the Fuel Gauge LEDs blink white, then one LED blinks red. This sequence happens three times. When the lights stop flashing, your headphones are reset.

Your Studios will automatically power on after a successful reset."

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

UPDATE: Bad experience: Folks at the apple store mailed the Beats in for free, since they're still under warranty. Once the shop received my headphones they said they saw cracks in the speaker which aren't covered under warranty, so I could pay like $150 - $200 (can't remember exact amount) for repairs. I decided it wasn't worth it so they mailed the headphones back and now I can't use noice cancelling, which is one of the main reasons I bought them in the first place. In sum, this has been a bad experience and I will never buy Beats again.

Same here! Got them as a Christmas gift. Worked fine the first few days, but now anytime noise cancelling or transparency is on, get a static noise in the left ear. It’s not from interference either. Took them into the woods on our land a long way from the house without any other devices and still getting it. There is something wrong with them. I’m hoping a firmware update can fix them, because I like them outside of this annoying issue. I’ve seen too many people posting online about it for it to be some random issue.

Exactly what I’ve been telling the technicians. Sounds like subtle white noise, but it has to be at a very high frequency because my ear hurts ridiculously when I use it. One day I used it on zoom and IDK if is the way the zoom audio is, it was tapping in the ear like pulsating tinnitus, took the headphones out and was gone. It was only the left side. How is that we all have similar experience, all the left side and they still act clueless. If you check forums like this for the other products, the different types of AirPods and the beats earbuds, all of them have many clients saying the same thing and all are in the left. Is insane that Apple keeps ignoring it.

This was me as well, but I saw something on the internet saying about the paper on the very outside of the bud sitting on top of the sound system. if you take the rubber protector thing off and somehow remove the paper (probably without irreparably folding it in half like I did) and reattach it somehow, then, as it did for me, the problem should go away. the finer technical points and the overall how of this is somewhat missing, but as a baseline starter which no doubt somebody with more skill and professionalism than me can help with and enhance, it worked for me. 🙂

After reading through all these comments, it's clear that my Beats Studio Pro headphones, which I truly enjoy, have some significant issues. I love them, but the fact that I've had to send them in twice for static in the left ear within just 17 months is frustrating. It's reassuring to know I'm not alone in experiencing this. I've treated them well and never dropped them. Thankfully, I invested in a two-year warranty at Target when I bought them. However, once that warranty expires, I'm going to move on from this model, unless I hear that Apple has successfully addressed and improved this problem in a newer version.
