So the app works fine except when I go to watch anything(movie or show) I get sound, but with a black/blank screen.
Anyone else have this problem???

Having the same problem. I can't believe the answer is to change the input. (hard for me to do given our AV cabinets. Why would Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+ and other 4K HDR sources work fine, but just Disney Plus needs a different input??!
Change the Apple TV input to a different TV Input?
A restart of my AppleTV fixed this problem.
****, I wish that had fixed mine. I even reset the **** thing and for me it was the input on my Sony TV.
It could be your HDMI cable itself. Make sure you have one that is 4K HDR rated.

you can keep it hdr so the rest of the apps will be hdr just go to match content and turn on match dynamic range and match frame rate
I was able to resolve mine by switching from 1080P HDR to 1080P SDR on the apple settings and that corrected my issue.
This worked. I hate it but it works
I tried that first unfortunately it didn’t work until I downgraded to SDR. Hopefully that setting will allow HDR content to plays as is.
I have purchased 3 different brands of ultra high speed HDMI cables and I’m still having this black screen no audio issues. Match dynamic and frame rate on. HDMI is not always the answer!!!!
It looks like Disney plus has compatibility issue with tv that supports HDR10. For Samsung, disable Digital Signal Plus and the dim video issue goes away. Disney needs to fix this.
