Facetime audio issue for the iPhone 11(s)

I'm having an issue with facetime. When Im talking majority of the time the person on the other end cannot hear me or its going in and out. Often times I notice the issue happens alot more if the floor is laying flat instead of me holding it in my hand. I've done all the steps possible to solve the issue, even have gotten a replacement phone and im still having the issue. Theres no water damage nor has the phone been dropped or damaged in any sort. I've had the replacement phone now for about 3 weeks at the most and before I had my last one since Feb. Im starting to notice my mothers iPhone 11 Pro doing the same thing as well. Never had this issue before until I got this iPhone 11

I’m having the same issue on my iPhone 11, audio breaks up and I’m told they can’t here me but they see me fine. Have had audio issues on calls as well breaking up and phone says I have great signal, I also just had Verizon exchange for a new iphone 11 and guess what still have the same problems so that tells me it’s the phone itself or the software.

Don’t bother. Their customer service on this matter has been very disappointing. They are not even acknowledging this is an issue. After going through every possible troubleshooting step, verifying it is OS or hardware, they offered my wife trade in credit, if she trades in the brand new phone she is leasing from Verizon, $400, haha. Embarrassing. Wish they would just say there are not enough people experiencing this to make it a priority if they are not going to fix it.

this is a hardware design issue for newer iPhones.

I just got the 12 pro, my mom has the 11. Both have this issue when trying to use FaceTime in a phone stand.

Problem disappears when held in our hands.

The speaker creates some feedback bouncing from the phone stand into the microphone and cuts the sound off.

This is a huge design flaw. Who doesn’t use a stand for FaceTime some of the time.

I also have had this problem with 11 pro max. Have tried 2 different carriers, replacement 11promax, worked with Apple on phone and in store. Still having issue. On my iPhone 7 I had I never had this issue. After reading these other posts the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, & 11 Pro Max seems to be the problem for the users. All I want is to be able to use FaceTime to call my children and grandchildren! I totally am at my wits end with this phone!!!! Been on 6 different internet services between my children and work and home, tried it in different areas of state and 2 other states. APPLE PLEASE LISTEN AND HELP!

Hello everyone, after lots of research with the same problems as everyone else, I am here to join the waiting game to find a solution (if any) for this problem. I tried taking off my case and that did nothing. I am on an iPhone 11 as well. When ft my gf, I can't hear a word she's saying when I talk. Very frustrating and annoying when I am out of town away from her and trying to have a conversation. Hoping that one day this can be resolved lol, before I end up buying a new iPhone because from what I have heard/read this seems to be an 11 problem.
